Harbor of Rio de Janeiro

There are some errors in names; Rio de Janeiro means River of January, but on the edge of Guanabara Bay. Portuguese sailors who arrived early in the naming pleasure; found the body of calm water within 20 miles of beach they took to the mouth of the river and named it Rio de Janeiro-River of January because they were found in January. Now the gulf is Guanabara Bay real name is called by the natives and a large natural harbor in the bay and serves the nearby town of all is the 'Port of Rio de Janeiro'. This is the state capital of Brazil with the name Rio de Janeiro the same.


On the Southeast coast of Brazil's Atlantic land jutting into Guanabara Bay which gave birth to a narrow alluvial strip that connects the two large mountain, the Sugar Loaf and Corcovado Mountain. Within the limits of Guanabara Bay lies 143 km in circumference as the vessel which can house as many authorities have desired, because it's so big! No one can count the number of ships and yachts are parked and they are moving in the bay of colorful and lively, this bay ever adorned with many islands. This status as the world wonders abound justified when the size of a thin and ship security offered by the two giant mountains that stand as guards for the protection of the entire bay, all created by god almighty.
